Gulf Oil begins mining contract works for Singareni

Hyderabad Feb. 13 Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd has announced it has commenced work on some of the mining projects for the state-owned Singareni Collieries, Northern Coal Fields and National Mineral Development Corporation.

Providing an update on the progress of some of the mining contract projects, the company has informed the BSE that mining contracts are valued at Rs 300 crore.

Various projects

Work on the Manuguru project at Singareni Collieries, which started few weeks ago, has now stabilised and monthly production outputs have been achieved. The mining operations for the Rs 190-crore Dudhichua project for the Northern Coalfields Ltd at Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, too started two weeks ago. The production has increased and is likely to be stabilised within four weeks.

Referring to the mining contract for National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd at Donimalai Iron Ore Mine in Karnataka, which was awarded for a period of five years, has started work last week, Gulf Oil has stated.
