WORKERS PREPARE paddy field for the next crop near Thrissur. Though the economy is witnessing fast growth, agriculture sector has expanded only by 2.7 per cent against 6.02per cent last fiscal and its share in GDP at current prices during 2006-07 will be 18.5 per cent, according to the Central Statistical Organisation.
