Fire-fighting pump set launched

Pune Feb. 13 Kirloskar Brothers Ltd (KBL) has launched a fire-fighting pump set that is approved by Factory Mutual and listed by Underwriters Laboratories.

The product was introduced at SAFE 2007, the international exhibition and conference to showcase technology in the realm of safety, security and fire equipment and services that is being held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from February 13-16.

The core competency of KBL, the largest exporter and manufacturer of the pumps in the country, lies in comprehensive solutions for fluid handling problems.

The FR and MSF series of pumps are exclusively designed to meet stringent international reliability ensuring standards set for fire-fighting pumps. They are designed and manufactured to comply with NFPA 20 (National Fire Protection Association, USA) norms.

Mr Sanjay Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director, KBL said, "We are confident that in future the awareness and necessity of safety will be on the rise in Indian market, hence increasing the demand for these products."
