STMicro sets up R&D labs

New Delhi, Feb. 14

NYSE-listed semiconductor manufacturing company STMicroelectronics on Wednesday announced the setting up of joint research and innovation labs at BITS Pilani and IIT Delhi. The labs are expected to be operational by the second quarter of this year.

As a part of the agreement, the company would facilitate proliferation of VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) design and embedded systems knowledge among students by undertaking research projects in association with the faculty.
