The Kodagu Deputy Commissioner, Mr Subodh Yadav, inaugurated the modern branch located on College Road. Private sector banks have done well in the country, contributing to the nation's economic progress, he said, adding that the bank should strive to fulfil the aspirations of its customers. Mr Brijith Baskar, Regional Head, Retail Liabilities Group of ICICI Bank, said the bank would function from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday till Saturday. Services will include facility for deposits, home and personal loans, mutual funds and demat services. This is the 41st branch in the State and the bank has plans to open at least another 12 branches in different parts of the State soon. Its assets were worth Rs 2,95,832 crore as on December 31, 2006.
ICICI Bank provides financial services to individuals and companies including mortgages, vehicle loans, credit and debit cards besides corporate and agriculture finance, Mr Baskar said. The bank has over 670 branches and extension counters and more than 2,680 ATM kiosks spread across the country. Mr Baskar said it has a customer base of over 14 million. Customers could also access Internet banking by logging on to www.icicibank.com. The bank would have a thrust in the rural areas in the coming days, he said. An ATM facility was also inaugurated on the occasion.
