SBI Capital 'top lead arranger'

SBI Capital Markets Ltd, SBI's investment banking arm, has been ranked as the top `Mandated Lead Arranger' and advisor in the Asia-Pacific region by Project Finance International (PFI) for 2006.

The company has also been ranked ninth and third globally in the `Project Finance Arranger' and `Project Finance Advisory' categories respectively for 2006, becoming the only Indian investment bank to feature in the top 10. In the `Syndicated Loans Bookrunner' category, the company has vaulted to number one position from last year's No. 17 rank.
