BEML, NTPC in pact for mining tools

Bangalore, Feb. 15

Bharat Earth Movers Ltd said it has signed an MoU with NTPC for the supply and use of BEML's equipment, spares and services for NTPC's coal mining. BEML, with 40 years of experience and 70 per cent market share in mining machinery, will supply equipment on priority to specific projects of NTPC and have a long-term operations and maintenance contract. The arrangement will ensure uninterrupted supply of coal from NTPC's captive coal blocks to its power plants, an official release said.
