`Japan pact must help rural development'

New Delhi Feb 17 The Joint Economic Agreement signed between India and Japan should have a holistic view and include socio-economic aspects, said the Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr Kamal Nath.

He also said the development of rural areas should be included in the economic partnership agreement with Japan. While speaking at a session on `One Village One Product', organised by CII, he said: "As part of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement which we are negotiating with Japan, development of rural areas should be included for all-inclusive economic development."
