Tea Firm trend at Kochi tea sale Our Bureau
Good general demand propped up the prices of most varieties in the 7.81 lakh kg of dust tea on offer at the Kochi tea auction. High priced CTC varieties were steady to dearer, while medium varieties occasionally ranged higher. Orthodox high grown dust was steady and mediums remained fully firm to dearer. Best CTC varieties ranged between Rs 63-78, medium CTC was at Rs 50-60 and below medium was quoted at Rs 44-46. High grown BOPD varieties fetched Rs 96-125, medium BOPD Rs 45-50 and secondaries were at Rs 40-44.There was 2.51 lakh kg of leaf tea on offer where high grown whole leaf grades remained steady to firm. High grown broken and fannings were steady to dearer following quality.
