BioAsia innovation award

Hyderabad, Feb. 18

Dr N. Madhusudan Reddy, scientist with the Hyderabad-based Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, has bagged the `BioAsia Innovation Award 2007 for Young Scientists' for novelty and market potential of his research in the field of `Microbial Process for L-Arginine Production'. The award carries a citation and Rs 1 lakh in cash. The award has been instituted by the organizers of Bio Asia, which concluded here on Saturday. "The idea is to promote creativity and innovation among the young scientists," Dr B.S. Bajaj, Secretary General of Federation of Asian Biotech Association, said.
