Software Toshiba Med Sys to expand ties with NeST Our Bureau
In the expanded operations of the offshore software development centre that NeST will operate for TMSC, over 300 software professionals will develop software for the latter's next generation of medical imaging equipment. The visiting President of TMSC, Mr Masamichi Katsurada, acknowledged NeST's track record of providing value added software development services in this high technology segment. In addition to developing high-performance medical equipment with excellent operability, TMSC covers all facets of the medical systems business from development and manufacture through sales and service. "We are impressed by the quality and technical standards set by NeST engineers. Over the years, this ODC has been surprising us with its offshore delivery capability both in terms of quality and scalability. We look forward to NeST's valuable support as our relationship enters a critical phase of major expansion," Mr Katsurada said. Over a decade, NeST has consolidated its presence in the Japanese market by delivering high-quality products to technology majors like Toshiba, Hitachi, Mitsubishi and Fujitsu. According to Mr N. Jehangir, Managing Director, NeST Group, the healthcare segment is poised for tremendous growth in the next decade. India is looked at as a major destination for partnering the developed world in its high-tech endeavours, he added.
