MHRA clears Strides plant

Bangalore Feb. 19 Strides Arcolab has said its Bangalore plant for sterile products has received the approval of the UK MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency). The plant makes sterile non-penicillin and non-cephalosporins.

Mr Arun Kumar, Vice-Chairman and MD, said, "The MHRA approval of the Sterile Products Division is an important milestone in the company's European market strategy. The facility has also received approval from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), Australia, Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate, Canada, and Anvisa, Brazil."

Strides has 14 manufacturing plants spread across India, the US, Brazil, Mexico, Italy, Poland and Singapore.
