MetLife plans for Dhanalakshmi Bank customers

MetLife India Insurance has announced the launch of two schemes, Mangalyam and Harishri with Met Smart Plus unit linked savings-cum-insurance plan for the customers of Dhanalakshmi Bank. Mangalyam is designed to plan for the daughter's wedding expenses and Harishri to plan for the child's higher education.

Commenting on the launch, Mr P.S. Prasad, Managing Director and CEO of Dhanalakshmi Bank, said: "We are happy that MetLife has come out with two insurance products that are relevant to people at different stages of life and products that enable an individual to get the best value for objectives that they have in mind. Designed specifically to cater to the latent need amongst parents to ensure their children's future, the products will generate overwhelming response from the people."

In addition to providing liquidity to meet the critical expenses for children, both plans, provide life insurance to the parent till 99 years. The parent who is a policyholder also gets income-tax benefits.
