New Delhi, Feb. 20

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) on Tuesday announced a drive to promote Thailand as an international exhibition centre for specific high-potential industries in India.

In view of the increase in total bilateral trade between India and Thailand at 29 per cent in fiscal 2005-06 over the previous year, Thailand now wants to enhance and build up its association with Indian trade bodies, travel trade and Indian companies, according to Mr Kajit Habanananda, Director General, TCEB. "For the Indian exhibition organisers, both large and small, we have introduced new international exhibitions and high-growth incentive schemes, offering financial as well as non-financial support," he said.
