Dr Nori Dattatreyudu, a well-known cancer specialist of Indian origin in the US, has been selected for the Dr Y. Nayudamma Memorial award for 2006. The Chairman of the Radiation Oncology Department at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, Dr Dattatreyudu will receive the award and deliver the Memorial Lecture at Tenali in Andhra Pradesh on March 4.

The former Governor of Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh, Ms V. Ramadevi, will present the award, said Mr P. Vishnu Murthy, Managing Trustee of the Nayudamma Memorial Trust. Dr Dattatreyudu was selected as one of the top doctors in cancer treatment in the US in 2006.
