Hyderabad, Feb. 21

The Hyderabad Region of the Vijaya Bank has registered a net profit of Rs 38.79 crore as of January, 2007. It has done a total business of Rs 2,611.43 crore, of which deposits were Rs 1,219.89 crore and advances stood at Rs 1,391.54 crore. Out of the 44 branches in the region and an extension counter at the airport, 21 are under core banking solutions. Giving these details in a press release, the bank said its Chairman and Managing Director, Mr P. Mallya had reviewed the performance of the region on Wednesday.
