Hyderabad Feb. 21 Gameshastra, a games development services company, has opened a games services facility here, offering testing and games development solutions for all the gaming platforms.

The company would invest $5 million in the facility. "In the next two years, we will be investing $20 million more. By second quarter next year, it would have 1,000 people," Mr Prakash Ahuja, Chief Executive Officer of Gameshashtra Inc, said.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, he said the company expected revenues of $8 million this year and $20 million in the next year.

Mr Brian Ward, Senior Vice-President of Worldwide Studios Activision, who inaugurated the facility, said the company would look beyond the scope of its association with Gameshashtra and assign it games development projects. At present, Gameshashtra offers testing and quality assurance services for Activision.

Mr Ahuja said the company would look at the prospects in developing games based on films.

The company opened a console game zone at the facility, introducing latest gaming productions and devices.

"We let game lovers to come and have a feel of the latest games and devices. Also, we recruit people seeing their ability in playing games. Those who can't play won't get jobs here," Mr Ahuja said.
