Hyderabad Feb. 21 Sun Micro on Wednesday showcased two innovations of Sun Labs. One relates to music search and the other on maps over Internet.

For those moving around with iPods, MP3 players and other music devices, they find it hard to find music one liked. Researchers at Sun Labs have developed an intuitive search, that enables to search music of their choice. For instance, if it is music from say Blues, and if you prefer search option, it would throw up 100s of similar numbers.

The Director of Sun Developer Network, Mr Matt Thompson, said that they have showcased this to several companies and it has the unique advantage of mixing and matching what one wants.

However, this has to be open source music! There was demonstration on how maps can be swiftly searched.
