HLL holds `Chulbuli' competition

Madurai, Feb. 22

Hindustan Lever Ltd (HLL) recently held a painting and cartoon competition around an imaginative character `Chulbuli', representing the quintessential Indian girl, in 10 schools in the city. Cash prizes totalling Rs 2 lakh were awarded besides participation certificates and gifts. According to the General Manager of HLL, Mr Rajaram Narayanan, the competition revolved around mother-daughter relationship and was aimed at inculcating good habits in children. Initially the competition was introduced in Karnataka covering 2 lakh children. Encouraged by the success, the company held the competition across six cities in Tamil Nadu, including Madurai, reaching out to 2 lakh children, he added.
