Coimbatore Feb. 22 Microsoft Corporation is attempting to deal effectively with software piracy issues by helping consumers and small businesses order Microsoft `Original' software on the telephone or online.

The company has tied-up with Redington to provide greater and easy access to the original software. This initiative is expected to make the original software pack available across 1,068 Indian cities. Customers, the Corporation release says, would be able to pay for the software through credit card, cheque or demand draft, with the credit card buyers having an option to pay in three equal instalments.

This new facility is expected to complement Microsoft's existing distribution network across 30 cities. The company has also revamped the original Microsoft software website — www.microsoft.com/India/original. The site now serves as a one-stop shop for home users and business houses, taking them through educative sessions or giving them multiple purchase options.
