Chennai Feb. 23 Mobile service provider Airtel has tied up with Tamil channel Star-Vijay to co-brand and promote its new reality show `Super Singer Junior' that targets children aged 6-14 years. The show is aimed at spotting singing talent among children of this age group.

Children from Chennai, interested in participating in the show, can call 6464 from an Airtel mobile connection to record their voice samples. Each recording will be charged Rs 6 per minute. These samples will then be judged by a panel of well-known singers, who will then shortlist candidates. Alternatively, children could also attend an audition on February 24 and 25 at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Centre in MRC Nagar where they can sing before a panel of judges.

Selected candidates (about 45 from all zones) would then be brought together on the show. . Three children would compete for the `Super Singer Junior' title. The winner of the 13-week long show would receive a scholarship cheque for Rs 5 lakh, said Mr Pradeep Milroy, Creative Director, Vijay TV, at a press conference on Friday.
