Mumbai Feb. 26 The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned six projects with a financial outlay of Rs 13.67 crore under its Tribal Development Fund.

It will benefit 4,025 tribal families in Rajasthan, Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Assam.

The total sanction from Nabard under the fund has now gone up to Rs 52.06 crore.

The Tribal Development Fund, with a corpus of Rs 50 crore set up by Nabard, aims at implementing tribal development programmes through the `WADI' approach with people's participation.

The Tribal Development Fund-assisted projects are sanctioned in each tribal predominant state as a demonstrative model for adoption by the State Governments and integrated with their tribal development programmes, said a press release.West Bengal and Meghalaya governments have tied-up with Nabard for implementation of these projects under a cost-sharing arrangement.
