Seth Ramdas hospital to begin Pune operations in March

Pune Feb. 26 Surgical speciality hospital, Seth Ramdas Shah Memorial Hospital & Research Center — A Richard Wolf Center of Excellence for Minimal Invasive Surgery Training and Research — will begin operations in Pune from March.

Mr Vikram Chavan, Managing Trustee of the hospital, said the hospital management has utilised Rs 75 crore for setting up the hospital. The hospital has six operation theatres made from medical-grade stainless steel and coated with anti-fungal and anti-bacterial paint.

It is the first hospital in Pune to introduce ultramodern operation tables, enabling easy movements during surgeries. The 110-bedded super-specialty hospital has 24 private deluxe rooms, six deluxe suites, separate general wards for men and women, 17 semi-private beds and six beds for day-care patients.

It has 17-bedded ICU/ITU/ICCU comprising five deluxe rooms, two semi-private beds and 10 ward beds with a 1:1 nursing ratio. The hospital will also have a six-bedded surgical ICU, Mr Chavan said.
