FMS-Delhi logs 30% jump in average salary

New Delhi Feb. 27 The Faculty of Management Studies-Delhi University has recorded 30 per cent jump in the average salary at Rs 12.04 lakh per annum during campus recruitments for the 2005-2007 batch of its flagship MBA programme. The average salary for this year witnessed a 30 per cent jump from last year's Rs 8.9 lakh per annum. The highest salary for placement in India stood at Rs 16 lakh per annum, while the highest for overseas placement was Rs 25 lakh per annum.

Nearly half of the batch opted for a career in the finance sector, while the rest were evenly spread among IT, FMCG and consulting sectors.

A total of 105 companies participated to hire 93 students of the batch. In all 138 offers were made.

For the newly started MBA- MS (Management of Services), the average salary stood at Rs 10.3 lakh per annum with the highest domestic salary at Rs 14.5 lakh per annum. The highest foreign salary stood at Rs 25 lakh per annum. A total of 65 companies participated to pick 40 students of the batch.
