Goldstone Imaging teams up with German battery major

Hyderabad, Feb. 27 With mobile devices such as hand phones, MP3 players and digital cameras proliferating, imaging and mobile storage company Goldstone Imaging sees market for storage and battery back-up packs growing significantly this year.

Following its partnership for memory cards and storage devices and printing paper, the company has partnered with Ansmann, a German leader in batteries and battery charging and power supply technology, to offer their range of solutions for digital lifestyle products.

The Head of Operations, Goldstone Imaging, Mr Amit Jain, said that the demand for mobile energy products such as re-chargeable batteries, primary cells and battery packs, as well as mobile light products are in big demand in the market.

Speaking to Business Line, Mr Jain said that the company has launched a range of rechargeable and alkaline batteries and chargers in India and is in the process of expanding its channel network. The Delhi-based company announced the product launch here today and is expanding its partners.

Storage partner

Mr Jain said the demand for storage devices was fuelled by increasing offtake of superior capability mobile phones and digital cameras. Increasingly, people are demanding higher storage options to carry their pictures. In partnership with UK based company Just Rams Plc, Goldstone offers integral memory products up to 4 GB, compact flash, multimedia cards, Bluetooth adapters and USB Flash Drives from 512 b to 4 GB capacity.

Alongside this, the company, which markets paper for inkjet printers through an arrangement with Full Colors, a Japanese photo paper company.
