The Hindu Business Line : `Mullappoo' soap launched

Oriental Extractions Pvt Ltd, a group company of S D Pharmacy Group, has come out with its latest innovative product called Mullappoo, a herbal toilet soap with jasmine flavour. This is the third brand launch in two years and Manjal was the first soap launched by the company, Mr K. Ramesh, Managing Director of S D Pharmacy said.

The second product offering from the company was the Chandanam soap. The productions of both these soaps have crossed 100 tonnes a month and around 13 lakh pieces are produced in each category. He said that the concept of regional branding would be made use of to promote the new soap Mullappoo. It will have different names in different States. The company has a turnover of Rs 20 crore.
