Mumbai March 2 The Mumbai based Aftek Ltd has formed a joint venture with the German software and systems firm ESG Elektroniksystem-und Logistik-GmbH to explore opportunities in Europe and India.

The details of the joint venture including ownership pattern and equity structure etc are being worked out, Aftek said in a filing with the BSE.

ESG specialises in developing, integrating and operating electronic and IT systems for the military, public authorities and industry. The joint venture will look at offshoring work to India for ESG's clients in the automotive sector and would also look at marketing ESG's expertise in the defence, aerospace, public sector and logistics market segments to clients in India, according to Mr Ranjit Dhuru, Chairman and Managing Director, Aftek Ltd.
