NSE, BSE extend trading hours due to sun outage

Chennai March 2 The National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange said that they will extend trading hours between March 5 and March 19 because the sun's position may disrupt information received via satellites.

Trading will start at the usual 9.55 am and end at 4.15 pm local time, 45 minutes after the normal close, the Exchanges said in their Web site. Trading would be halted between 11.45 am and 12.25 pm IST, the NSE said in a notice.
