Scheme to speed up UK visas

Our Bureau

New Delhi, March 5

The British High Commission in India and IntegraScreenTM, an international provider of document and information verification services, on Monday announced a voluntary scheme to expedite the processing of visas for travellers to the UK.

Applicants for UK visas can now choose to speed up their applications by sending their documents and related information for verification to IntegraScreen. The new scheme also includes VFS, the Commission's commercial partner, who collect and dispatch visa applications for the UK. For temporary visitors to the UK (e.g. students), verification fee would be Rs 5,900, while for permanent residence aspirants it would be Rs 10,800. The fees would be in addition to the visa fee and non-refundable.
