PNB interim dividend handed over

New Delhi, March 5

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has paid 40 per cent interim dividend amounting to Rs 72.90 crore for the financial year 2006-07 to the Central Government. The PNB Chairman and Managing Director, Mr S.C. Gupta, presented the dividend cheque to the Union Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, here on Monday.

Also present on the occasion were Mr K. Raghuraman, Executive Director, and Mr Arun Kaul and Mr Y.P. Narang, General Managers of the bank. PNB had recorded net profit of Rs 1,302.38 core for the April-December 2006 period this fiscal.
