2-day wheat workshop from today

In the context of the impending wheat harvest and current concerns relating to production and high prices, the Workshop on Wheat Management to be held in New Delhi during March 7-8 is expected to discuss policy issues that are seen impacting the market. Indian and overseas experts will present views on demand and supply outlook. Representatives of flourmills will share their perspective of the market.

Processing and nutrition aspects of the grain would also be discussed. Mr T. Nanda Kumar, Union Food Secretary, will inaugurate the seminar, while Mr Alok Sinha, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Food Corporation of India, will be the guest of honour, event organisers Roller Flour Mills Federation of India and Wheat Products Promotion Society said.
