Ahmedabad March 6 The New Delhi-based Kajaria Ceramics Ltd will set up a manufacturing unit for tile-making in Gujarat next year with an initial investment of about Rs 100 crore, Mr Rishi Kajaria, Director (Import Division), said on Tuesday.

The Kajaria Group is also set to open 10 showrooms, known as Kajaria World, for its imported tiles business by 2009.

Of these, the one at Kolkata is being opened shortly and three more at Chennai, Hydrabad and Goa will come up in the fiscal 2007-08, he told newspersons here.

The Group inaugurated its fourth showroom for imported tiles in the country here today, after Gurgaon, Bangalore and Mumbai. The company now imports tiles from China, Italy and Spain for its niche clients.
