Air Deccan flights to Bhubaneswar, Agartala from Chennai

Chennai, March 7 Air Deccan today announced daily flights connecting Chennai to Bhubaneswar and Agartala (via Kolkata). Operations will commence on March 26, Mr Warwick Brady, Chief Operating Officer of the airline, told a press conference here on Wednesday.

Mr Samyukth Sridharan, Principal Sales & Marketing Officer, Air Deccan, said that the company's research showed that there was enough traffic to Chennai from the two cities, mainly from people who want to avail themselves of the medical facilities at Chennai and Vellore.

He said that new 180-seater Airbus A-320 would be deployed on these routes.

In addition, the airline also announced another daily flight on the Chennai-Madurai route.

An ATR 72-500 aircraft has been deployed on this sector. This flight will leave Chennai at 6.40 a.m. and reach Madurai at 7.55 a.m. It will leave Madurai at 8.10 a.m. and reach Chennai at 9.25 a.m.
