Unitech plans 100-acre township

Real estate developer Unitech Ltd has announced it would invest about Rs 2,250 crore for the development of a 100-acre residential township called `Uniworld City' in Greater Noida. "With an investment of over $500 million, the largest integrated development is designed by HOK, the second largest architects in the world," a company release said on Thursday.

The project has the capacity to accommodate 4,000 households and would have features such as piped gas lines for each home, sewage treatment plant, rain water harvesting, electronic security and surveillance, it said. "Uniworld City is among Unitech's premier projects which will redefine the paradigms of residential development in the country," the Unitech Managing Director, Mr Sanjay Chandra, said.
