Shipping ANL returns to Europe, linking Chennai Our Bureau
Mumbai March 9 Exporters based in Chennai can now have a direct shipping service connecting to the UK, with Australian National Line (ANL) deciding to participate in the CMA-CGM service that commenced loading in Europe earlier this week. The services will be offered from North Europe and the Mediterranean to Australia and New Zealand, direct to Jakarta, Port Kelang, Chennai, Colombo and Jeddah, before returning to the Mediterranean and North Europe via the Suez Canal. The first ship in this service is expected to reach Chennai from North Europe on May 3. This will be a fixed day weekly service on 13 dedicated vessels and a 91-day rotation. This will mark the return of ANL, which is now part of the CMA-CGM group, in the UK sector with direct sailing and that too covering Chennai for the first time.
