AP Govt promises salary parity for docs

The Andhra Pradesh Government has assured that it would consider removing disparities in salaries of doctors of ESI (Employee State Insurance) Corporation and Insurance Medical Services Department. "This will encourage more doctors to join the department," Mr G. Vinod, Minister for Labour and Employment, said. Addressing the valedictory of the fortnight-long celebrations organised to mark Corporation's Formation Day here on Friday, he said the Government would take up the issue of covering of employees in the unorganised sector under ESI with the Centre.
