Eicher declares 290% interim

New Delhi, March 10

Eicher Motors Ltd on Saturday declared an interim dividend of 290 per cent for the financial year 2006-2007. This includes a one-time special dividend of 250 per cent. The dividend will be distributed to shareholders as per record date of March 20, 2007. According to the company, it has recorded a 19 per cent growth in sales volumes within its commercial vehicles domain, 6 per cent across its two-wheeler category and a marked growth in sales turnover of 27 per cent in its automotive component business in the first 11 months of the current financial year. During the nine months ended December 2006, the company generated profit-after-tax of Rs 40 crore as against Rs 22 crore (net of exceptional profit of Rs 167 crore) in the corresponding previous year.
