Mastek ends joint venture with Deloitte Consulting

Mumbai March 11 Software services firm Mastek Ltd and Deloitte Consulting said they have ended their joint venture partnership in India.

Mastek has sold its entire equity stake in Mastek-DC Offshore Development Company Pvt Ltd to affiliates of Deloitte for an undisclosed amount.

Mastek had forged a joint venture in 2001 with Deloitte Consulting to offer India-based software services in areas such as application development, systems implementation and information technology outsourcing.

In a statement, Mr Doug Lattner, Chairman and Chief Executive, Deloitte Consulting, said, "It is now time to further our offshore capabilities and our purchase of Mastek's interest is a demonstration of that commitment."

The shares of Mastek dropped by 0.95 cent on the BSE to close at Rs 297 on Friday.
