Quipo Energy sets up centre of excellence

Ahmedabad March 12 Quipo Energy Rental Services today inaugurated its Centre of Excellence for Asia and said that it would be investing Rs 15 crore in the power generation set business in the next two years in Gujarat.

The Group has also lined up an investment of Rs 80 crore in 2007-08 in the country to provide gas-based energy solutions, said Chairman and Managing Director Mr Sunil Kanoria.

The company currently provides 4.6 MW of gas-based energy solutions to three clients in Gujarat. It aims to raise this to 50 MW in the next two years.

Quipo Energy Rental is part of Quipo Infrastructure Equipment Ltd, an equipment rental company serving the growing needs of infrastructure equipments for projects across India as an alternative to buy energy solutions.

It provides modular gas power plant in steel containers, which can be used to generate more than 10 MW.
