Hyderabad, March 12 Satyam Computer Services Ltd has announced that it has joined Microsoft's Connected Services Sandbox programme that enables telecom companies to deliver next-generation value-added services. Part of the Connected Services Framework (CSF), this provides a streamlined environment to facilitate rapid deployment of new services that can be flexibly aggregated into new services or bundled into service packages. Satyam will serve as a unifier of these solutions and bring together independent software vendors (ISVs) and application developers who develop value-added services. Satyam has been helping telecom companies. Since early 2006, Satyam has worked with Microsoft to build a provisioning platform for next-generation services. The work includes initiatives that rely on Microsoft's Customer Care Framework (CCF) and portals for Internet protocol (IP) subscription management and dynamic services from various third-party service creation ecosystems. The Vice President of Satyam's Global Telecom Practice, Mr Dharmesh Syal, in a statement today said, "Service providers seek platforms that manage on-boarding and provisioning across convergent IP service platforms. First-generation IP service platforms are siloed and do not interoperate well with traditional service platforms." The company's Portal Solution will leverage the Sandbox and provide a pre-integrated, tested and centralised service portal infrastructure for convergent services reducing time to implement. This is part of Satyam's TIMES division handling telecom, technical infrastructure, media and entertainment and semi-conductors.
