Corpn Bank to extend scheme

Hyderabad, March 12

Corporation Bank will soon replicate the Corp Gram Mitra Yojana (CGMY) scheme, it launched in Goa on a pilot basis, in several other States. According to Mr B. Sambamurthy, Chairman and Managing Director, the scheme had been received well and plans were afoot to extend it to other States, including Andhra Pradesh. Mr Sambamurthy was here in connection with the launch of bank's Retail Hub .

Addressing the business review meeting of the branches in the twin cities, he said the bank had been implementing financial inclusion programme throughout the country to offer banking services at an affordable cost to the rural poor.
