Events Corporate - Gender Women managers' meet on March 24 Our Bureau
Chennai March 13 One of the Madras Management Association's annual events, Women Managers' Convention, this year is to centre on `Breaking Barriers and Building Bridges'. Announcing this at a press conference here on Tuesday, Ms Kavitha D. Chitturi, Chairperson, Women Managers' Forum and Executive Director of KCP Ltd, said, "With the world shrinking into a village as communication lines blurs following technological developments, and with access to opportunities becoming easier than ever before, the word `barriers' seems to have little meaning with today's youngsters." However, when it comes to women, there are certain issues that need to be addressed. "And this convention would discuss those issues and help breaking those barriers and building bridges," she said. The annual convention, scheduled for March 24, is slated to cover a range of issues from opportunities for women entrepreneurs to work-place issues and financial independence to social challenges. Talking about the success of its earlier editions, Maj S. Lakshmanan, Executive Director, MMA, said this is the sixth straight year for the convention. "There has always been a great response to these conventions and this year we expect over 500 delegates to participate," he said.
