Gayatri Projects bags orders worth Rs 192 cr

Hyderabad March 15 Gayatri Projects Ltd (GPL), the Hyderabad-based infrastructure major, has secured orders worth Rs 192 crore to execute four projects in different states.

The flood control project for the Visakhapatnam Airport valued at Rs 51.19 crore and the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded Rs 118.07-crore project in Chhattisgarh constitute the important projects, according to Mr T.V. Sandeep Reddy, Managing Director of the company.

The ADB-funded project includes rehabilitation and upgrading of the State 10A highways covering Kapsara-Hathidad, Rajkheta-Dhanwar and Ramanuganji-Wadrafnagar linkages. Another project is the construction of internal roads for the Jindal Steel plant in Orissa.

The company has an order book position of just over Rs 2,600 crore with these new projects. It is also bidding for a large number of BOT projects in different States, Mr Reddy told Business Line here.

GPL is currently executing projects amounted about Rs 1,112 crore of public works and irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat.
