Navayuga signs pact with Ras-Al Khaimah

Hyderabad March 15 The Ras-Al-Khaimah (RAK) e-Governance Authority (EGA) and the Hyderabad-based Navayuga group have concluded an agreement for development and implementation of enterprise geographical information system (GIS) as a turnkey solution for this Emirate.

The enterprise GIS solution is part of the vision of Sheikh Saud Bin AlQassimi, Crown prince and deputy ruler of Ras Al-Khaimah.

The use of GIS and spatial technologies are aimed at providing better governance and for improving life of local citizens.The EGA has developed a blueprint for implementing the GIS project wherein citizen services would be developed through a network that connects to various departments. Users will be able to use the solution for transacting with Government and access to services.

The Rs 10-crore project would be implemented in 18 months and the pilot GIS and the e-map for the portal will be shortly unveiled. The project would support building and engineering administration, public works and services department among others.
