BPCL, partner bag refuelling bid

Bangalore, March 15

A consortium of Bharat Petroleum and Singapore's STARS has bagged the bid to provide into-plane refuelling service at the upcoming Bangalore International Airport. The partners signed a 10-year contract with Bangalore International Airport Ltd here on Thursday, said a BPCL release here.

Mr S. Radhakrishnan, Director-Marketing, BPCL, and Mr Sim Poh Choon, GM, STARS, were the signatories along with BIAL's CEO, Mr Albert Brunner. BIAL will have a second refuelling operator of its choice. BPCL's equal partner, STARS or ST Airport Services Pte Ltd, is a member of the Singapore Airport consortium and a leading Singapore aviation fuel logistics company.
