Brain Awareness Week

As part of the Brain Awareness Week, a programme was organised by the Centre for Neurosciences, Department of Biotechnology of the Cochin University of Science and Technology, and West Side Hospital, Kochi, in association with the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Brain awareness week is an international effort by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives to advance public awareness about the progress and benefits of brain research. Mr K. Retnan, the Chamber President, said that the main objective of the programme is to teach people about brain function, brain diseases and disorders, and to inspire an interest in students to become the next generation neuroscientists by linking scientists with students.
