ICFAI IT school's placement

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, March 16

The average salary-package offer at the ICFAI School of Information Technology (ISIT) here is Rs 3.85 lakh. On the first day of Placements '07, the school recorded hundred per cent placements.

About 20 corporates participated in the recruitment process including IBM, Oracle, Satyam, HCL, Accenture, iGATE, Patni, CMC and Polaris. Banks that were present included ICICI, IDBI and Bank of Baroda. According to ISIT, all the 89 students of the class of 2006 were recruited by these companies on the first day itself, which it claimed was a rare distinction. The average compensation offered was also much higher than last year.

The ISIT placement team visits potential employers and has developed a strong placement network for the last two years among the top IT, banking, insurance and research companies, a press release said. To make the courses more relevant, the ISIT constantly interacts with industry through conventions, seminars and student education programmes.
