Foods & Food Processing 4-day course on extrusion tech Our Bureau
The event is designed and organised by experts from the Department of Grain Science and Industry at Kansas State University (USA) and is conducted in association with a host of organisations including Acharya N. G. Ranga University and institutions from India and abroad. Participants will have an opportunity to learn from experts the status of extrusion technology in the world and in India, hardware and processing, product development, economics of extrusion processing, and food safety issues. The course will culminate with a plant visit. Food processing is a thrust area for the Union Government. With rising incomes, demand for processed, value-added foods is rising. Huge investment opportunities in the sector are emerging. The education programme is managed by New Delhi-based Assocom India, an organisation committed to supporting food-related initiatives.
