Lack of support keeps spot rubber prices flat

Aravindan

Kottayam March 20 Physical rubber prices closed steady on Tuesday. RSS 4 was flat at Rs 88.50 a kg both at Kottayam and Kochi as it lacked the support from major manufacturers. Buyers were unwilling to enhance their quotes above certain levels, an observer said. The volumes were low.

The April delivery contract for the grade finished better at Rs 91.50 a kg against Rs 90.87 on MCX.

RSS 3 (spot) firmed up to Rs 98.49 a kg from Rs 96.76 at Bangkok. The April futures for the grade improved to 261.5 Yen (Rs 97.60) from 258.5 Yen a kg at TOCOM.
