Dunlop EGM on April 14

Our Bureau

Kolkata. March 20

Dunlop India has called an EGM of its shareholders on April 14. In a set of notices to BSE, the company has also informed about the recent BIFR directive allowing the company to go for a rights issue and enhancement of the authorised share capital. Meanwhile, the company seems to be headed for a number of changes in its top management. To begin with, Dunlop on Tuesday reported to the stock exchange that Mr Samir Kumar Paul ceases to be the Managing Director of the company with retrospective effect from March 15, 2007.

Mr Paul — a former Dunlop employee - assumed office on August 3, 2006. Sources in the Ruia Group said that Mr Paul's exit might coincide with a recent effort on the part of the promoters to infuse fresh blood in the top leadership. According to sources, the group is presently scouting for suitable candidates in various positions at senior management levels.
